When I bred Flirt to Cobb, I knew I wanted to keep a Flirt daughter.  I had no intentions of keeping a male puppy.  But when Gretzky was born, I was attracted to him instantly.  After all, he was the first puppy I had ever bred.  When he was born he was such a dark red that we thought he was a black tri.  What a surprise when we wiped him off and realized he wasn't black, but a red boy!  He was the pup that caught everyone's eye and as he grew, it was evident that he had the personality to go with his magnetism.  So, I caved in and decided to keep Gretzky in my breeding program.  Gretzky is now living with our good friend Ginnette who was as smitten with this boy as we were.
